Museum exhibits change every year as our collection grows and evolves. We pull items from our collections of objects, documents and photo to tell stories of Newark's past, as well as to celebrate historical milestones and to connect our past to current events. You never know what you'll discover in our ever changing exhibits.
2022 Exhibits
New exhibits for 2022 include Deandale: Newark's First Industrial Neighborhood, Treasures from Private Collections, Newark High School Spirit, and the return of the beloved State Theater marquee letters. Updates were made to Volunteers Favorites, New Acquisitions, and the Made in Newark exhibit.
2021 Exhibits
New exhibits for 2021 include the 100th Anniversary of the Newark Country Club, Did You Grow Up in Newark?, Salute to First Responders and Frontline Workers Through the Years featuring the "Hope in the Time of Covid-19" quilt by the Ladybug Quilt Guild, Volunteers Favorites, New Acquisitions, updates to the "Made in Newark" exhibit, and Main Street soft sculpture art.
2020 Exhibits

New exhibits for 2020 feature the 100th Anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution, the 110th Anniversary of the Founding of the Newark Post Newspaper, University of Delaware's First Athletic Complex, the New London Road Community, and "Women's Work is Never Done."

2019 Exhibits
New for 2019 were exhibits featuring the Delaware Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Minster's Jewelers. and the Newark New Century Club.
2018 Exhibits
New for 2018 were exhibits celebrating Newark in the Roaring 20's, as well as two big milestones...the 50th Anniversary of Newark Parks and Recreation and the 25th Anniversary of the Newark Arts Alliance.
